How are we drinking out of these straws?

Ok, I go to dunkin donuts every morning and afternoon, and I've noticed that recently dunkin donuts just came out with these new orange and pink striped straws for their cold drinks. What happened to the regular hard clearish straws? The new "prettier" straws are so soft and flexible i barely get any drink out of my coffee, and I can't drink it without a straw, so c'mon, either change the lid so my straw doesn't get smushed and flattened when I drink it or make your straws less flexible, I want to be able to drink what I purchesed
