Dunkin Donuts Drive Thru Nightmare!

The Dunkin Donuts on Route 9/College Street in Amherst, MA has to be the MOST inept in the world! Each and every drive thru experience has been a nightmare, so why keep going there? Because of the drive thru and the chance that they may just get an order correct. Anyway the straw that broke the camels back was this: I order an unsweetened iced tea with lemon and a bottled water. Simple right? No, I hear back thru the speaker: " Black coffee with sugar?"...So I repeat my original order. She repeats it. Wow! Success. Short-lived...as soon as I get to the drive up she hands me a bag with a bagel in it, and a hot coffee. I say No, I ordered an unsweetened ice tea with lemon and a bottle water, as I attempt to hand her back the bagel in a bag. No verbal response from her, just the sound of her sucking her teeth. I wait and wait. Then she hands me what appears to be ice tea with about 3 inches of sugar floating in the bottom. I point this out. Now I get eye rolling..not even so much as an "I am sorry!"..waiting..waiting...she hands me what appears to be an ice tea with lemon, unsweetened. I had to ask her for the bottled water. She never said thank you for waiting, being patient, nothing. Okay, so I get to my office, ready to sit down for a nice sip of my ice tea...and it is iced coffee with lemon...but she got the unsweetened part down. Girl has a bright future ahead of her. But in general avoid this DD like the plague. They consistently get everything wrong. It is like they have some one rearranging the order from your mouth to their ear. They are also very rude, thoughtless and have the freaking nerve to put a tip cup at the drive up! For what? Here is a tip: take a course on customer service, or just plain manners. I am an extremely patient person, I have worked in the food service industry, I give every waitstaff/counter person the benefit of the doubt: maybe it's a bad day, his relief person did not show, she had an argument with another staff person--regardless, there is no place in this economy for bad service. Oh I saved a ton of money by no longer buying coffee or ice tea from DD. I buy my ice tea by the jug at Trader Joes (Unsweetened) and brew coffee at home. If I were Rachel Ray (new spokeswoman for DD) I would run from this place!
